Stanley Maxwell wins Relix Magazine’s November 2007 "JamOff" Contest

Stanley Maxwell has won Relix Magazine's November 2007 "JamOff" contest for unsigned artists. Stanley Maxwell will be featured on the November Relix CD sampler, which is included with over 100,000 issues of the internationally distributed magazine.

Relix is a publication dedicated to jam bands and improvisational music. Some of the artists who have appeared on past samplers include Bela Fleck, Frank Zappa, Les Claypool, Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Greyboy Allstars, Antibalas, Martin Sexton, Page McConnell, Galactic, and Phish. As we enjoyed Black-Eyed Sally's award-winning BBQ and Cajun cooking for dinner, Eight to the Bar started the evening with R&B and soul. Ryan Hartt & The Blue Hearts ended the night with blues tunes.
